Elementary and secondary administrators reviewed year-end events at the June 11 meeting. Lacey Sharp (SES) summarized Outdoor School, the Spring Music Concert, Crystal Apple Awards, field trips and end-of-year evaluations; Blaine Braithwaite (SSS) reported on graduation, personnel, attendance and a well-attended Day of Service held the last week of school.
Lorena Woods, the district athletic director, said fall athletic schedules are complete and that a Cheer Club will be offered next year. Superintendent Beth Burton added a legislative update and noted that commencement and the elementary end-of-year BBQ went well. The board agreed to hold its August meeting on Aug. 6 because of a Back to School Night conflict.
