Board approves 2025–26 meeting dates, handbooks and highly capable program

The Liberty School District board approved several packet items: the 2025–26 board meeting dates (members agreed on a 6:00 p.m. start time for most meetings), changes to the elementary and junior-high handbook and changes to the high-school handbook.
During action items the board also reviewed a slideshow on the highly capable program (pages 42–47). The superintendent noted limited funding—"I think the closures around 17,000," he said—and a board member moved to approve the program; the motion was seconded and carried. Members asked staff to ensure handbook changes and calendar adjustments are distributed to staff and families.
All motions were moved, seconded and approved by voice vote during the meeting.
