The Midland Board of School Directors approved a request from Christine Albaugh, Executive Director of Circle of Friends, Inc. Senior Services, to use the Midland gymnasium on June 11, 2025 from 9:00 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. to distribute Senior Farmers Market Nutrition Program (SFMNP) vouchers to eligible seniors.
The minutes note the vouchers can be redeemed for Pennsylvania fresh fruits, vegetables and edible herbs at more than 1,029 participating farmers in Pennsylvania. The motion, made by David Vuckovich and seconded by Stephanie Pennington, passed with all members present voting yes.
The board's approval allows the community partner to use district facilities for the voucher distribution event; coordinators are responsible for day-of logistics and participant eligibility verification.
