Assistant Superintendent for Operations Mr. Peterson updated the board on maintenance, transportation and staffing matters. He said the Will County Regional Office of Education inspected all buildings and passed them, the high-school gym is set up for graduation, and summer maintenance workers will begin May 27 with several student workers assigned to custodial tasks.
On transportation, Peterson said students will continue to travel to Fischer/CAB until May 29 and to Wilmington High School until June 3; the local summer-school bus will operate with one aide while the Joliet run to Fischer will use two buses with two aides. He also reported the district had 690 students registered for 2025–26 and that new devices for kindergarten, fifth grade and freshmen had arrived.
