Towanda board approves support-staff hire and multiple unpaid leaves

At the Dec. 3 meeting the Towanda Area School District board approved a package of personnel items, contingent on required documentation. The board approved the hiring of Tina Bump as a Cook’s Assistant; the minutes list her start date as "effective TBA." The board also approved four unpaid leave requests for employees listed by employee number: #101361 effective Nov. 15, 2024; #101487 effective Dec. 6, 2024; #100007 effective Dec. 20, 2024; and #101362 effective March 13–14, 2025.
The personnel motion was made by Matthew Wheeler and seconded by Brooks Greenland and passed unanimously (9-0-0-0). The minutes note that all personnel actions approved by the board are pending receipt of required documentation.
