Towanda Area School District names representatives to regional education and tax committees
Summary
The board unanimously appointed members and staff as representatives to the Northern Tier Career Center, I.U. #17, the PSBA Legislative Action Program, Bradford County Tax Collection Committee (delegate and alternates) and the district wellness committee.
During the Dec. 3 reorganizational meeting, the Towanda Area School District Board of Education appointed board members and staff to multiple external bodies and internal committees. The board unanimously elected Patrick McIntosh as its representative to the Northern Tier Career Center Joint Operating Committee and named Matthew Wheeler as the alternate representative. Ashley Popovich was selected as the board representative to the Pennsylvania School Boards Association Legislative Action Program. Brady Finogle was named the district’s representative to I.U. #17.
The board also designated Brian Driscoll as delegate to the Bradford County Tax Collection Committee with Erick Cummings and Valerie Miller named alternate delegates. John Hennessy was elected as the board representative to the Towanda Area School District Wellness Committee. Each of those nominations was approved by voice vote or roll call and recorded as unanimous (9-0). These appointments set the board’s official liaisons to partner agencies and internal committees for the coming year.
