The Towanda Area School District Board approved a bundle of contracts and agreements during its May 18 meeting. The package included: an agreement with Illuminated Integration for security camera system upgrades and software; DaRTS software services and other technology services with BLaST Intermediate Unit #17 (July 1, 2026–June 30, 2027); HVAC repairs proposed by BSC Mechanical, Inc.; building upgrades proposed by Mountain Lake Construction Pro, LLC.; facilities scheduling services with Arbiter (July 1, 2026–June 30, 2027); a Regional Wide Area Network service agreement with BLaST Intermediate Unit #17 for July 1, 2026–June 30, 2029; and authorization to execute a data-hosting contract with IU #17 at a cost not to exceed $55,110 for July 1, 2026–June 30, 2027. The entire contracts package was moved by Ashley Popovich, seconded by Natalie Wheaton, and approved by voice vote, 7-0-0-2.
The minutes record contract names, vendors and timeframes where given; they do not specify the district budget lines that will fund each agreement. Several of the approved agreements relate to district infrastructure and student supports; the board did not discuss implementation sequencing at the meeting.
