Towanda Area SD board approves minutes, bonfire request and 2025 meeting calendar; adjourns

Brooks Greenland moved, seconded by Ashley Popovich, to approve the Regular Session minutes from Sept. 16, 2024; the motion was recorded as passed by voice vote. The board also granted the Towanda Jr/Sr High School Student Council permission to hold a bonfire at Riverfront Park on Thursday, Oct. 24, 2024, from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM and adopted the 2025 School Board meeting dates (regular meetings at 7:00 PM except the Reorganizational meeting in December at 6:00 PM). The minutes show all these motions passed by voice vote, "all in favor, motion passed 8-0-0-1."
With no further business, Brady Finogle moved to adjourn, seconded by Matthew Wheeler; "With all Board members in agreement, the meeting adjourned at 7:21PM," the minutes state. No visitors spoke during the meeting and there were no presentations or committee reports recorded.
