Turkeyfoot Valley accepts business manager resignation and approves program reorganization that eliminates one math position

The Turkeyfoot Valley Area School District board acknowledged receipt of the resignation of Business Manager, Board Secretary and Co-Athletic Director Amanda Younkin effective end of day April 16, 2026. The action was approved by motion of Nathan Enos, seconded by Dean Hay, with all members present voting in the affirmative.
Following executive session for personnel and student matters, the board approved a contract with Ignite for Business Manager consulting services effective April 13, 2026, and approved returning summer student custodial hires Rhylan Rugg and Kylie Nace at an hourly rate of $9.50. The board also voted to non-renew the Temporary Professional Employee Agreement of Jason Turner, effective April 7, 2026.
In a separate personnel action the board approved an educational program reorganization under Section 1124.2 of the Pennsylvania School Code that eliminates one secondary math teacher position effective at the end of the 2025–2026 school term. The minutes specifically identify the affected employee as April Ely. Motions were moved and seconded and recorded as carried by all members present.
