Board reviews certified-staff update; approves consent agenda, financial and personnel items

Mackenzie Woodcock, co-president of the Wy'East Education Association, told the board that state testing preparation and review are under way and thanked the bargaining committee for its efforts.
"Certified Staff update was presented by Mackenzie Woodcock, CoPresident of the Wy'East Education Association. Spoke on state testing prep and review is under way. She thanked the bargaining committee for their hard work," the minutes record.
The board approved the consent agenda unanimously (Action 2026-03-02). The consent packet included routine financial and personnel items: check register changes, financial statements, and multiple personnel recommendations including probationary and contract teacher renewals and non-renewals, temporary teacher contract non-renewals, and contract administrator renewals. Tim Belanger reviewed financial items and Ken Bucchi presented personnel changes.
Superintendent Aaron Bayer also reported the district has had a lack of inclement weather days and reminded board members that their Statement of Economic Interest (SEI) is due April 15, 2026.
