The Oregon Trail School District 46 board on June 29, 2026 adopted the district's 2026'27 budget, a resolution that establishes expenditure appropriations and sets the tax levy for the upcoming school year. Business Service Director Tim Belanger presented the resolution and summarized the public process leading to adoption.
Belanger said the budget followed a March 31, 2026 workshop and an April 28, 2026 budget meeting that was posted to receive public comment; a summary of the approved budget was published in the local newspaper on June 22, 2026 for final input. A motion to adopt the budget was made by Board Member Jeff Grandi and seconded by Board Member Randy Carmony; the motion passed unanimously. The minutes record each board member's affirmative vote: Chair Robert Lee; Vice-Chair Paula Siverly; Randy Carmony; Jeff Grandi; Gregg Chastain; and Marie Teune.
The adoption resolution completes the legal steps the district cited in the minutes for establishing appropriations and tax levies for 2026'27. The board did not record additional discussion or amendments to the budget in the minutes.
