The motion to appoint was made by board member David Tannehill and seconded by Terry Bender; all members present voted in the affirmative.
Minutes record that the appointment is contingent on securing all necessary final clearances and any required approvals from the Pennsylvania Department of Education. "The Superintendent shall sign and execute a formal agreement in compliance with the provision of the Public School Code of 1949 as presented," the minutes state. The minutes also note the superintendent will execute a formal employment agreement consistent with statutory requirements before the term begins.
