District facilities staff gave a detailed account of summer projects across all three schools, including plumbing repairs, exhaust-fan maintenance, gym refinishing at the elementary and middle schools, and a library remodel to address prior water damage. Staff also described reprogramming an RTU to enable dehumidification and smaller in-house repairs to save costs.
"That compressor failed. It was 26 years old. So, that's just shy of $30,000 repair," the facilities staff reported about air handler 6, which serves the high-school library and adjacent classrooms; staff said the unit will be craned onto the roof and repaired before school resumes. The facilities report also included a planned half wall for a special-education room, roof repairs, and ongoing projects to complete before open house.
