Candidates who spoke to the board emphasized a mix of priorities. A second candidate, Kelsey, a community nurse and boosters volunteer, called for stronger outreach and recruitment to retain qualified staff in a high-cost coastal area. No appointment was made at the work session. Two applicants — Trisha Ko and Justin Whitaker — formally withdrew from consideration during the meeting.
