Dr. Eric Briggs provided a comprehensive facilities update encompassing Central Elementary, the high school and athletic complexes. At Central Elementary the basketball hoops are on site and the final phase of construction is projected to finish by the end of April 2025; punch lists are complete for all but that final phase. At the high school, conversion of the former library space is expected to be finished in early March, bathroom work continues, classrooms are under construction, and the district is renovating the nurse and guidance suites.
Athletics updates included completion of the football grandstand and continued design work on concession stands; staff noted a dye test was not completed because a grease trap was frozen. For the Soccer/Track Complex, the No Rise Certification was approved at a prior board meeting and district staff are negotiating an agreement with South Williamsport Borough for use of park space.
