After the finance committee adjourned, the regular board meeting took up a series of consent and action items. A resolution to approve the Capital Area Intermediate Unit (CIU) 2026–27 general operating budget was also approved by motion.
The board reviewed and approved a contract with Shippensburg University to provide supervised interns through the Growing Edges Clinic for counseling services; the agreement covers July 1, 2026, to June 30, 2028, and carries a maximum annual cost capped at $29,322 per year. Board members asked that the clinic coordinate evaluation protocols and requested year‑end summaries of counseling activities.
