Board approves updated policies, school fundraisers and summer sports travel

The board also approved a Bulldog toast‑bag fundraiser to benefit the cheer program (May 7–21) and authorized team travel for the boys wrestling and boys basketball programs to attend June team camps; lodging and transportation arrangements were detailed in the packet and specific travel costs were to be paid from student activities accounts where indicated. The board combined multiple personnel action items into a single motion and approved them as presented.
Board members asked that future personnel hires be carefully reviewed in light of enrollment trends; one board member requested that hires related to decreased student counts be flagged for additional board review. Administration said it would bring recommended hires forward and coordinate with the board for vetting before final hiring actions.
