At the Feb. 17 work session, the board reviewed a recommendation from Nutrition Services and administration to revise the 2024–2025 school calendar by reclassifying March 21 and April 17, 2025 as regular in-session days instead of emergency weather days. The change was proposed to compensate for two weather-related school closures on Jan. 21 and Jan. 22, 2025.
The recommendation was presented as a means to meet required instructional day totals without extending the school year. The board packet also included related routine approvals from Nutrition Services, including volunteer additions and program agreements, which the administration presented alongside the calendar item.
