The district reported 21 exit interviews completed this cycle: 10 employees took new jobs, seven retired, three left for personal reasons and one relocated. Administrators said most responses rated training and opportunities as good-to-excellent, with 18 respondents scoring training positively and teamwork generally rated highly.
Recurring concerns included communication gaps at the building level, requests for more superintendent/administration visibility in elementary classrooms, follow-through on reported issues, perception of favoritism by some staff, and staff burnout. Several respondents recommended enhanced or more readily available CPI (Crisis Prevention Intervention) training and noted difficulty getting into sessions because of limited offerings or scheduling conflicts.
Administrators said they are compiling the themes and plan to address systemic items in group follow-up so that individual matters that require privacy can be handled separately. Board members asked staff to continue outreach to the remaining employees who had not completed exit interviews.
