The Seaside School District 10 Board of Directors on Aug. 5 approved Resolution 2026-2027 #1 to correct a clerical error in the district's "Imposing the Tax" resolution.
Superintendent Jeff Roberts said an incorrect rate of 4.7745 appeared on the resolution but stressed the district's adopted budget used the correct rate of 4.4105, so no changes to the approved budget were necessary. Business Manager Toni Vandershule told the board the higher rate had been provided by Northwest Regional ESD and also appeared in auditor materials; she said the records will be corrected during the next audit.
Board member Brian Taylor moved to approve the resolution; Sondra Gomez seconded. The motion carried with four yeas (Gomez, Sadler, Swedenborg, Taylor) and three absences (Katherine Davidson, Jason Haag, Chuck Mattocks). The vote was recorded as Yea: 4, Nay: 0, Absent: 3.
The correction addresses a clerical discrepancy on the published taxing document; district leaders said the correction does not change revenue projections used to adopt the 2026–27 budget. The board conducted the special meeting virtually and adjourned at 8:06 a.m.
