District down 31 in-building students this year; estimated $310k–$335k revenue loss
Summary
Administrators reported an in-district enrollment decline of 31 students (from 567 to 536), estimating roughly $310,000–$335,000 less in state funding and warning the board the district will need to align FTE with enrollment declines to sustain the budget.

District administrators reported the in-building enrollment count fell from 567 on Sept. 1 to 536 on June 1 — a net loss of 31 students for the school year. Using an approximate per‑pupil state funding figure of about $10,000–$11,000, staff estimated the district lost roughly $310,000–$335,000 in average daily membership (ADM) revenue.
"So when I say our enrollment has been declining... our FTE has to go down because we are losing money," Christa said during the enrollment report. Trustees discussed how declining enrollment pressures staffing levels (FTE) and requires deliberation about absorbing retirements and resignations versus posting new positions.
Business staff and administrators said they monitor ADM reporting and adjust forecasts during the year; the board signaled the need for ongoing conversations about long-term sustainability given enrollment trends.
