Fort Bend ISD Board approves multi‑year contracts, network security purchase and budget amendments

The Fort Bend Independent School District Board of Trustees approved a multi‑item consent agenda at its Oct. 27, 2025, regular meeting that included several districtwide, multi‑year cooperative purchases and a budget amendment to use bond contingency funds.

The consent bundle listed districtwide pressure washing services up to $300,000 over five years; generator preventative maintenance and related services with Clifford Power up to $1,300,000 over five years; swimming pool chemicals and related services up to $700,000 over five years; and a district network security purchase through cooperative contracts not to exceed $5,100,000 over a five‑year period. Administration also presented a budget amendment proposing allocation of federal E‑Rate reimbursement into the 2018 bond contingency. Board members approved the consent agenda as presented, with item 10.G.7 (use of 2023 Bond Safety and Security contingency) removed for separate consideration and later approved.
