The Mineral Point Unified School District Board of Trustees said the district should complete a space audit at the middle/high school and study whether fifth grade should be moved to relieve overcrowding at the elementary building.
Member Harris asked the district to perform a formal space audit at the MS/HS and bring recommendations back to the board for consideration of moving fifth grade. Other trustees noted tight conditions at the elementary school and concerns about capacity as another district has expressed interest in Mineral Point programs. The discussion was recorded under Board Communications and did not include a vote or formal directive at the meeting.
