At the March 16 meeting the committee voted to enter executive session under Wisconsin law to handle collective-bargaining and personnel matters. Committee member Jeff Stauffacher moved, seconded by Rick Fink, “to go into Executive Session pursuant to Wis. Stat. s. 19.82(1), 19.85(1)(c), and 19.85(1)(e) for Darlington Education Association (DEA) negotiation and pursuant to Wis. Stat. s. 19.85(1)(c) for consideration, and action if appropriate, regarding employment, performance evaluation data, and compensation of specific individual professional and support staff employees.” The motion carried unanimously.
After the executive session the committee reconvened to open session and proceeded to consider topics raised in staff listening sessions, making several recommendations to forward to the full Board. The minutes record the reconvene motion as well as subsequent committee recommendations; no executive-session details beyond the motion text are disclosed in the minutes.
