District sets tentative occupancy dates for four elementary schools and outlines moving plan

District operations staff on Aug. 19 outlined inspection and occupancy milestones for four renovated elementary schools and described logistics for moving staff and materials back into classrooms.
Tim reviewed the inspection and occupancy schedule: "Eisenhower 25th of August. Roosevelt August 25th as well. Washington is August 26th and Madison is August 27th," he said. Staff described coordinated moves with contractor Anchor beginning the weekend before and an all-hands approach that will place building leads and additional workers in each school to help teachers and respond to site-specific needs.
The presentation noted remaining work on fire-alarm systems, window installations at Madison (first four windows to be completed in summer 2027), and targeted accessibility fixes in restrooms. Staff emphasized that while some strike items remain, the progress photos posted on the district web page show substantial completion in many areas and that district teams will be on site the day of move-in to assist.
