During its Dec. 16 meeting the Marion Center Area School Board accepted several donations and approved extracurricular travel permissions.
The board accepted a donation from KITS Brokerage, Inc. of junior-high girls basketball uniforms and a PSBA donation of “The Buddy Bench” to the elementary library. The board also granted permission for coach Trent McCoy and athlete Dylan Sinan to attend a wildcard qualifier bowling tournament in Kittanning on Feb. 1, 2025, pending required clearances; parents are responsible for expenses. Separately, Mr. Kirkland reported that the Rayne AC project is complete and that HHSDR final drawings will be presented in January as part of upcoming capital planning.
