District staff told the board they had collected coach feedback and are preparing a coaches handbook as a resource (not as a punitive rulebook) to help off‑campus coaches follow district policy and state law, including return‑to‑play procedures for concussion recovery.
"The primary reason where we want to move to having a coaching handbook or coaches handbook is the fact that we have a lot of off‑campus," a staff member said, explaining the handbook would provide structured guidance for coaches and embed an ITAP return‑from‑injury plan worked out with the school nurse. Staff also said most fall sports schedules are set, football will play a hybrid mix of eight‑man and other opponents, and cross country scheduling is still being coordinated.
