Administrator outlines multiple infrastructure projects and a Feb. 21 groundbreaking

Village Administrator Mike Rosenberry provided a multi-item operations update. He thanked village employees and volunteers for snow removal, said February meter readings will be estimated unless residents call in readings, and reported that an insurance claim was filed for wind damage at a park backstop. Rosenberry said the village received the final invoice for camera installation and that Omni Fiber has paid in full.

On capital projects, Rosenberry said staff met with OMEGA on a grant submission for Bodmer Avenue and will meet with OMEGA and the EDA on grant information for the wastewater treatment plant (WWTP) expansion. He reported that TAP Grant and Safe Routes to School Phase I work added 12 additional light poles. On a village building project, Rosenberry said excavation discussions are underway for a multipurpose building, that Levco will donate parking-lot striping, and that Willandale has offered excavation equipment; he announced a groundbreaking scheduled for Saturday, February 21.

Rosenberry also noted bus garage heaters were replaced at a cost of $5,725 and said staff will review the agreement with the local school regarding that facility. He said deed restrictions for the 6th Street annexation property were provided for review and that staff are collecting photos for 2026 military banners.
