Board signs off on 2026–27 coaching rosters, extracurricular advisers and athletic fees

The Minersville Area School District board approved multiple athletic coaching appointments and a broad list of extracurricular advisors for the 2026–27 school year during its May 27 meeting. Athletic Director Richard (Rich) Dry recommended rosters for football, girls and boys soccer, cross country, volleyball, cheer and golf; many assistant and volunteer positions were approved with salary entries listed as 'TBD' or 'Volunteer.'

The board also approved athletic season passes priced at $80 for adults, $40 for students and $180 for a family of four; per‑event wages were set (for example, Ticket Sellers $30, Scoreboard Operator $30, Basketball Bookkeeper $40, Security $50) and game ticket pricing was adopted (Adults $5, Students $3, Senior Citizens (65+) $3). The tentative Athletic Account budget for 2026–27 was approved at $254,890 (previous years: $206,740 in 2025/26; $218,315 in 2024/25).

All motions concerning athletic hires, wages, passes and the athletic budget passed on voice and roll call votes as recorded in the minutes. The board noted that seasonal pay may be prorated if state‑mandated closures shorten athletic seasons.
