The Minersville Area School District board approved a tuition‑waiver policy for children of nonresident faculty and staff for the 2023–24 school year.
Under the approved waiver, the superintendent or designee may grant tuition exemption for children of district employees who reside outside district boundaries. If the employee ceases working for the district or takes an extended leave exceeding one calendar year (other than FMLA), the nonresident tuition rate will apply on a pro rata basis. The policy further states no special transportation will be provided and tuition calculation will be based on the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania's Annual Financial Report for the prior school year.
