Minersville Area SD approves rehire, accepts resignations and authorizes new hires

The board re-hired Rochelle Jones as a 200-day Special Education Supervisor at the Elementary Center for the 2025/2026 school year with an approved salary of $62,100 and a $2,000 one-time bonus upon certification. The board accepted resignations including Marilyn White (full-time maintenance, retirement effective 06/30/2025) and others listed in the minutes. It approved new hires: three part-time paraprofessionals (Gianna Dejesus, Amanda Martinez, Samantha Kreiser at $15.63/hr) and two temporary professional employees (Emily Huff and Jodecie Hook — salary $41,000, step B001), effective Aug. 19–25, 2025.
These personnel actions were approved on roll call votes where specified. The board also approved salary-step placement for Ms. Erin Zollars to step M006 at $48,749 effective the 2025–2026 school year. Administrators will complete required hiring paperwork and update payroll records.
