The Minersville Area School District board on Aug. 23 authorized a three‑year maintenance agreement with Automated Logic Contracting Services to manage the district's HVAC system and approved an exploratory inquiry into renewable-energy financing.
The Automated Logic deal covers July 1, 2023–June 30, 2024 at $29,750; July 1, 2024–June 30, 2025 at $31,238; and July 1, 2025–June 30, 2026 at $32,800, and was approved on roll call. Superintendent Dr. Carl G. McBreen told the board the service "controls the entire HVAC system." Board members approved an administrative authorization to prepare a letter of interest regarding renewable energy with Raymond James Public Finance and to inquire about the USDA loan program; the record notes this would not be a binding board decision.
Board members framed the actions as part of facilities maintenance and exploring financing options; no binding procurement or financing decision was made at the meeting.
