Minersville board ratifies dozens of hires, accepts multiple resignations

At the Aug. 28 meeting, the Minersville Area School District Board of Education accepted resignations and ratified multiple new hires for the 2024–25 school year. The board accepted notices from employees including Fred Reed (resignation effective 09/27/2024, 15 years' service) and several part-time instructional aides. The board also ratified hires for numerous paraprofessionals and temporary professional employees effective on dates between Aug. 13 and Oct. 2, 2024.
A selective reassignment for Todd Rizzardi was ratified: Rizzardi will move from Elementary Assistant Principal to a professional-contract position on step M020 with a salary of $72,500 effective at the start of the 2024–25 school year. The board voted by roll call on the roster of hires and reassignments; all members voted in favor.
