At the Redevelopment Commission meeting earlier, staff opened bids for a new street department facility. Reported bids included Keyark Construction at $2,250,000, PNG Construction at $2,661,797 and First Due Company at $2,830,000; a Fox Construction bid appears in the transcript but the amount is unclear. Mayor David read the list to the board and asked that the board take the bids under advisement; the board approved that request by voice vote.
The board did not award the contract at the Aug. 18 meeting; members asked that the submitted bids be reviewed and taken under advisement. Staff indicated they would return with a recommendation following further evaluation of the bids, references and contract terms.
