The recreation director reported crews cleared brush and addressed washout on the Fred Tar trail at Murray Park, including new gravel and a cover at the trail entrance to reduce erosion. "We took some equipment back there and just kind of getting all of the brush and trees were grow overgrown... put a cover across there, new gravel, which helped a lot," the recreation director said.
The director also thanked the Bedford Recreation Foundation for funding cart‑path repairs at the golf course, noting repairs on the front and on back holes 11, 12, 15, 16 and 18 to address erosion and puddling. The director said those repairs improved playability and reduced wear on the course.
