The board accepted a Pennsylvania Department of Education Food Service Equipment Grant of $27,530.09 to buy a walk-in freezer for the Minersville Elementary Center and a separate $35,500 grant for a steamer at the Minersville Jr./Sr. High School; both grants cover the April 1–Sept. 30, 2024 period.
The board also authorized participation agreements for 2024–25 in the Child Nutrition Program and the Title III Language Instruction for English Learners and Immigrant Students (LIEP) with Schuylkill Intermediate Unit #29. Additionally, the district ratified a Memorandum of Understanding with Smile Pennsylvania for a mobile dental program at a cost of $20 per child for the 2024–25 school year and ratified a cybersecurity workstation/service license quote (SentinelOne/Travelers) at $18,780.
