Board reviews A‑TSI plan, reviews Policy 249 and adopts revisions to several board policies
Summary
The board reviewed the Additional Targeted Support and Improvement (A‑TSI) Title I plan for the elementary center, completed yearly review of Policy 249 (Bullying/Cyberbullying), and approved second reading/adoption of policy revisions to 214, 215, 217, 226 and 227.
The board reviewed the proposed Additional Targeted Support and Improvement (A‑TSI) Title I School Plan for the Minersville Elementary Center for 2023–24 and authorized proper display of the plan during the meeting on July 26.
Separately, the board completed its yearly review of Policy 249 (Bullying/Cyberbullying); Superintendent McBreen confirmed no changes were made at that time when board member Albert D. Marazas asked. The board also approved second reading and adoption of revisions to policies 214 (Class Rank), 215 (Promotion and Retention), 217 (Graduation Requirements), 226 (Searches) and 227 (Controlled Substances/Paraphernalia). Marazas asked whether revisions could be denoted in red; McBreen said some could be but some policies might be changed in their entirety and the office would try to accommodate.
