ADRC director: midyear data show demand for services; senior dining sites being consolidated

Tammy Anderson, director of the Washington County Aging and Disability Resource Center (ADRC), presented a midyear report covering January through the end of June. Anderson said the ADRC’s information‑and‑assistance team served just over 1,000 unduplicated customers during that period and that the ADRC enrolled 179 consumers into long‑term care programs in the first half of the year. "We serve just over 1,000 unduplicated customers," Anderson said.

Anderson noted the ADRC transitioned to a new database July 1 and began time‑tracking then, which she said will allow more precise reporting in future meetings. She described senior dining operations averaging about 150 meals per day (mostly home‑delivered) and explained the ADRC has been consolidating low‑volume meal sites to reduce staffing, mileage and operating costs while maintaining service levels. Anderson also said the ADRC’s dementia caregiver support assisted 117 caregivers in the period and that staff will bring additional trend data to future meetings upon request.
