Liberty School District’s K–5 team completed professional development on a newly purchased ELA and writing program known in the meeting as 'Wonders.'
"We bought that new wonders and writing wonders curriculum for all of [K–5]," Mr. Sayers said, noting the curriculum includes a full writing program and additional professional-development resources the vendor provided as part of the purchase. "Like, you can there's like a workspace where you can have students go in and then they can get feedback from, like, AI," he said, describing one digital tool teachers practiced using.
Mr. Sayers said teachers received a two-hour training showing where to find resources and how instruction can be structured, and that several teachers reported the materials would help make lessons more engaging. No budget or contract vote was taken during the meeting; the presentation described staff training and rollout plans.
