Commission approves grouped budget amendments, grants and multi-year contracts

Commissioners grouped and approved a set of Budget Committee resolutions (2503-14 through 2503-17 and 2503-19 through 2503-25) during the March 17 meeting. Notable budget actions in the package include an appropriation of $275,812.49 for state inmate medical services reimbursements to the Sheriff’s Office and $151,974.84 from the FY2024 Homeland Security Grant to the Emergency Management Agency for equipment. The package also included a $79,749.00 final payment for jail roof repairs and a $3,000 appropriation to separate the new courthouse from the Gallatin Library with a fence.

The grouped approval also authorized contract actions and renewals: a Communications International radio maintenance multi-year contract for the Emergency Communications Center, a Snowman Technologies Veeam licensing renewal for the Sheriff’s Office, a multi-year Versaterm contract for the Sheriff’s Office, and a multi-year Canon copier contract for the Clerk and Master’s Office. Commissioner Shoaf introduced the resolutions and Commissioner Mansfield moved to group and approve; the grouping was approved by unanimous voice vote.
