After voting to pursue an in‑house search, the Seaside School Board voted to create a planning committee to produce a timeline and stakeholder charter for the recruitment.
The board nominated and approved Cat as the committee lead and named Shannon, Sandre and Jason to participate. Board members said the committee's first tasks will be to set objective screening criteria, define which employee and community groups will serve on panels, and propose a timeline that protects opportunities for both internal and external candidates.
Members discussed public‑meeting requirements for subcommittees and said committee gatherings will be noticed and open to the public. The committee will work with district HR to prepare job postings, application rubrics and panel logistics and will report its recommended timeline back to the full board before any final hiring action.
