The Seaside School District board moved to ratify the collective bargaining agreement between the district and the classified bargaining unit (OEA/OSA Chapter 107) covering July 1, 2025, through July 30, 2028.
"I will confirm that Megan and Andrew took a vote with their members and it did pass," the superintendent said during the presentation. District staff told trustees that because of payroll timing the new compensation will take effect in March and that retroactive pay will be processed once payroll has completed the required calculations. Leslie Garvin was publicly thanked for preparing the contract documents.
The board approved the ratification motion by voice vote. The district said it will notify employees when retroactive payments are scheduled and will provide updates to the board.
No specific dollar amounts for the contract were read into the record during the meeting; staff said payroll is preparing the retroactive calculations.
