At the March 3 planning meeting the committee mapped out how candidates will be reviewed by multiple stakeholder groups. The groups identified were the board, the leadership team (building administrators and directors), licensed staff, classified staff and students. The committee discussed whether community members should participate only at the finalist stage rather than the initial panel phase.
Staff proposed a central webpage for the search and a Google interest form so employees, students and community members can indicate availability and whether they would like to lead or serve on a panel. Committee members discussed selection methods if many people volunteer—options included random selection within categories or reserving at least one slot per sub‑group to ensure varied representation. The committee scheduled a work session prior to the March 17 board meeting to invite union leads and leadership representatives to finalize panel recruitment and selection rules.
