The board approved the consent agenda, which included minutes from several July special and regular meetings; donations accepted through the Southern Community Foundation from the Mardo family and gifts from Richard Barker and Julie Davis, Door County Dental Care and Aaron Hoffman; and a memorial plaque in honor of Southern High School graduate Brock P. McCartle.
The board also approved personnel recommendations filed Aug. 17, 2026. Approved items included resignations (support staff), changes of assignment (e.g., Amanda Kodulski from 1.0 FTE to .82 FTE middle-school special-education teacher), and a set of hires effective for the 2026–27 school year (examples: Jenna St. Arnold, grades 5–8 music teacher; Sarah Leroy, middle-school special-education teacher; bus drivers and special-ed associates). The board moved, seconded and approved the personnel slate by roll-call vote.
