Montour board approves 2026–27 school calendar, updates wellness and bullying policies

The Montour School District Board of School Directors voted unanimously on Jan. 15 to approve revisions to Policy #246 (School Wellness) and Policy #249 (Bullying/Cyberbullying) and to adopt the 2026–2027 school calendar. Superintendent Dr. Christopher Stone presented the policy revisions and the calendar to the board during the regular monthly meeting; a roll call recorded all present members in favor.
The board also approved the district's annual Kennywood School Picnic for Saturday, May 30, 2026. According to the materials in the meeting packet, discounted “Early Bird Admission” is available online for $32.99 through May 10. Board members did not record substantive discussion beyond the presentations; the items were placed on the consent agenda and passed by unanimous vote.
