Operations Director Darryl Yonkers presented a series of budgeted facilities purchases at the April 16 meeting, including bus garage fence repairs and replacement, a 40x60 slab with footer, storage garage construction, carpet and VCT replacement, gym floor refinishing at DEW and the Athletic Center, a new lawn tractor, and a painting bid for the high school cafeteria. The board approved the Image Works Painting Incorporated bid of $58,465 for cafeteria painting and several other listed purchases.
A separate, higher-cost proposal to install new football and baseball field lighting from Techline Sports for $379,790 was included on the operations agenda. The minutes record that the board approved the operations report with one board member voting 'NO' specifically on the Techline Sports lighting item; all other votes on operations purchases were recorded as yes.
