The Montour School District Board of School Directors adopted the district's Final General Fund Budget for fiscal year 2026-27 in the amount of $83,939,280 and set the tax levy at 17.9638 mills, the board recorded in Resolution 06-01-26. Director of Finance Anna Borsos presented the resolutions and related motions during the June 18 meeting; the roll-call vote on the budget and related resolutions was recorded as all present voting "YES."
Borsos' report included detailed fund balances and cash positions through May 2026: General Fund year-to-date revenues were listed at $75,199,275.67 with expenditures of $68,358,658.46, and several time‑deposit and money-market holdings were enumerated. The board also approved Resolution 6-02-26 to implement the Act 1 Homestead/Farmstead Exclusion for 2026-27 and Resolution 6-03-26 authorizing collection and payment of school real property taxes in installments. The board designated First National Bank, U.S. Bank, PLGIT and PSDLAF as official depositories and approved district insurance coverage for 2026-27 not to exceed $511,007.
The adoption of the budget concludes the district's formal budget process for the coming school year; the minutes show no further amendments or contingencies attached to the resolutions. The board adjourned at 7:08 p.m. after completing the agenda.
