In Goal 1 of the draft 2025–26 board goals, staff proposed that all students in the Morrow County School District demonstrate academic growth proportionate to or above their Oregon peers, with the district setting an expectation of a minimum of one year of academic growth at every grade level toward graduation readiness. The language was presented by staff member Matt Combe during the Aug. 11 work session.
Board members discussed the goal briefly and indicated support for bringing the draft to the Sept. 8 meeting for formal adoption. The minutes identify the goal as part of a four-goal package and record the work session start and end times.
