Morrow County School District leaders reviewed a draft set of board goals for 2025–26 during a work session Aug. 11, 2025, with the board agreeing to present the package for adoption at the regular Sept. 8 meeting. The work session was called to order at 5:31 p.m. by Chair Richard Cole, and staff member Matt Combe reviewed the four proposed goals.
The goals lay out the district's priorities for the coming year: raising academic growth to match or exceed Oregon peers, maintaining a financial management plan tied to state and federal funding trends (including continued support for the district bond as it moves into the design/build phase), strengthening communications and safety to support staff retention, and increasing collaboration with county and regional partners with an emphasis on attendance. Board members Becky Kindle, Mary Killion and Rosa Delgado participated in a short, positive discussion and will consider formal adoption at the Sept. 8 board meeting. The work session adjourned at 5:45 p.m.
