Staff reviewed the InterMountain ESD (IMESD) local service plan, explaining that component districts receive a suite of core services at no additional cost and may opt into additional services. The staff presentation emphasized that IMESD's state contracts and grant administration provide value to member districts.
"We've been nothing but happy with the services that we've gotten," staff said, describing the ESD's role and noting the local proximity of contract administrators. Staff also said the IMESD holds many state contracts that make certain services more accessible to component districts without the district paying an extra fee.
A motion to adopt Resolution No. 26-2-1 (the service plan) was moved, seconded and approved by voice vote. Staff and board members summarized the color-coded service chart—core services versus optional purchases—and reminded trustees that some state contracts provide economies of scale for member districts.
The resolution was adopted during the meeting; staff will continue coordination with IMESD for service delivery and any opt-in purchases.
